STEADFAST

A PILGRIM’S JOURNEY

Created by Marcus Draper

Walk wisely. Carry hope.

Resolve all 44 cards before your 20 endurance runs out. Each stage shows four cards: resolve three in any order, then carry the fourth forward. Once the deck is empty, resolve every remaining card.

♠ / ♣ Trials: face directly to lose their full value, or use an eligible provision to lose only the difference (minimum zero). J=11, Q=12, K=13, A=14.

♦ Provisions: equipping replaces your current item, even with a weaker one. A fresh item can assist with any trial. After use, it can only assist with trials equal to or below the last trial it assisted with. Facing directly preserves that limit.

♥ Restoration: one heart per stage restores endurance up to 20. Additional hearts are spent without recovery. A heart used at full endurance still consumes the allowance.

Detours: before playing any card, return all four to the bottom. No consecutive detours. Disabled once the draw deck is empty.

Practice: equip 6♦, face 9♠ using the provision, then receive 5♥. Free choices are allowed; after that opening you continue a full journey.

Scoring: win with your remaining endurance. At 20, a final effective heart adds its printed value. Defeat subtracts all unresolved trial values from your remaining endurance.

Endurance measures weariness, not salvation. The fictional biblical-era people represent travelers experiencing trials. Progress saves in this browser; PC and web saves are separate. Practice replaces the same save slot.
